Let’s say that your date or significant other isn’t quite the Otaku you are, or that they don’t even watch Anime at all but at least indulge your hobby. There are at least a few great Anime movies that can either turn this around or just be a really good date night.
Princess Mononoke
Princess Mononoke is probably one of the best anime date night movies you could pick. Anything Miyazaki in fact is probably a good choice. Strong female characters, man vs nature plot line, a few tear jerking moments, full of action, depth and conversation material for afterward. It’s also not a tough sell because you can always point out that it had some high profile voice acting talent like Jada Pinket Smith, Billy Bob Thorton, Claire Danes, and Mini Driver. Any other movie with that kind of line up would still be worth a watch. Continue reading
A common questions we’ve all encountered is “Why Do Guys Like Bad Girls” or “Why Do Girls Like Bad Guys”, this post is going to address the first one.
First of all “Good” and “Bad” have more to do with point of view. For the sake of argument we’re going to lean toward definition that bad = aggressive/hyper aggressive, potentially”slutty”, tactless/callous, and or insensitive.
It may seem baffling that someone with such obviously negative qualities could be attractive or more attractive than someone who is: kind, sweet, sensitive, polite, reserved and thoughtful. But its more complicated than that.
Main Attractive Points of Bad Girls
The truth is regardless if you’re a guy or girl who is into anime or video games, your bf/gf or date may not be into them (or not as much as you are). People tend to try to hold conversations about things they are comfortable with and good at, the problem arises when that becomes a one sided conversation.
How many times have you had someone start talking to you about a topic you have little experience or knowledge of like: politics, architecture, religion, fashion, or sports? It wasn’t comfortable “waiting for your turn to speak” was it? In most cases when you start rambling about a video game, card game, anime or comic, or something technical, you are leaving the other person lost and uncomfortable. Continue reading
Windigo made an excellent comment in his last post about Otaku’s having some serious dance skills. However weather you’re an Otaku, Nerd, or Geek that happens to be an amazing dancer or not, that doesn’t mean you’re are using it to your advantage.
I can’t count how many times I have gone with a group of friends to the club only to see some of them line up on the wall with their drinks and watch everyone have a good time. You have got to put yourself out there, talk up women at the bar, or get out there and show off and the dance floor. Continue reading
Online you will have unlimited options! No matter the kind of person you are into, there thousands candidates, literally just a few clicks away. It is so much easier to find your match online than in a club, bar or in the street, not that you should stop looking in these places. Instead of having to find out the basic information about people one at a time, you can immediately start with dozens of people that share your interest, age, and location. Finding someone with the same interests and many things in common with you will make everything better, both of you will feel more connected, and the relationship will have a better chance at success.
Those of you who are familiar with the anime DeathNote, probably already realize where we are going with this. For those of you not familiar with the anime you can watch the episodes on youtube or look it up on wikipedia.
The short version:
The character Light Yagami constantly tries to outwit the police and detectives and those around him by anticipating and calculating every possible move they will make, every question they could or would ask, and having a ready reaction and response that works to his overall advantage.
This will sound very familiar to many of you because you constantly do it when getting ready to approach or interact with people you are interested in. JUST STOP RIGHT NOW.
