In the as I like to call it “オタク の じだい” (Otaku no Jidai/Era of the Otaku) more and more people are starting to identify with that term. With the help anime, manga, video games becoming more mainstream, it opens a new door that could very well change the basic stereotypes of a geeks everywhere. I’d like to use myself and a few of my friends as an example to show you the changes that are taking place. In my group of friends we are all anime watching, video game playing, computer tech geeks, but and a BIG but we still find people that are surprised when they find out our interest while talking over cup of coffee or a margarita. I will lay out a few points that I think are some of the biggest stereotypical hurdles that social you will have to deal with or change in people’s minds.

Ways to Know Women Are Interested
Many guys have told me they lack confidence because women have never been interested in them. The funny thing is I’ve seen women that showed and interest in them all the time and they failed to pick on the “subtle” hints that should have told them to be bold or push a little harder, or even actually try!
If a woman keeps throwing out these signals and you don’t notice them and respond, shes going to believe: you’re not interested in her, you’re VERY inexperienced in talking to women in the first place, you’re completely clueless, you’re blowing her off, you’re gay, or you’re already taken and are just want the attention.
Here are some very clear ways women make their interest in someone known:
Avoid DeathNote Logic
Those of you who are familiar with the anime DeathNote, probably already realize where we are going with this. For those of you not familiar with the anime you can watch the episodes on youtube or look it up on wikipedia.
The short version:
The character Light Yagami constantly tries to outwit the police and detectives and those around him by anticipating and calculating every possible move they will make, every question they could or would ask, and having a ready reaction and response that works to his overall advantage.
This will sound very familiar to many of you because you constantly do it when getting ready to approach or interact with people you are interested in. JUST STOP RIGHT NOW.
